Illini Softball Hit-A-Thon

The Challenge: Each student athlete will get 10 swings. The longest single ball hit out of their ten swings will be the official distance used to calculate your per-foot pledges.

The Math (Pledge Per Foot):

1. A Sponsor pledges an amount per foot (e.g., $0.50 per foot).

2. Your longest hit distance is measured (e.g., 200 feet).

3. The total pledge is calculated: $0.50 x 200 feet = $100.00

After the event on January 16th, we'll email you to let you know how far your batter hit their farthest ball, what the full pledge amount comes to, and we'll include a handy link to pay online.
